The Grimsby Darts Academy witnessed an exciting round of matches today, with notable performances and shifts in standings. Both Monday Division 1 and Monday Division 2 featured competitive games that resulted in key movements in the rankings, reflecting the intense competition among the players.
In Monday Division 1, Danny Goddard maintained his top position after securing a convincing 4-0 victory over Daz Mawer and a 4-1 win against Stew May, increasing his points tally to 26. Graham Field also held on to second place, winning both of his matches, including a 4-0 triumph over Alex Vase and a 4-0 win against Seth Vickers, bringing his points to 23. Craig Storr moved up to third place after a series of strong performances, including a 4-2 victory over Alex Gale and a 4-1 win against Alex Vase, increasing his points to 19. Owen Baines climbed to fourth place with a total of 18 points after defeating Alex Gale 4-2 and Seth Vickers 4-2, while also drawing 3-3 with Gordon Longhurst. Alex Gale dropped to fifth place with 15 points following his losses. Anthony Mitchell remained in sixth place after a mixed set of results, including a 3-3 draw with Jordan Smith, a 4-0 win over Harland Newbegin, and a 2-4 loss to Craig Storr. Gordon Longhurst moved up two positions to seventh, and Daz Mawer also climbed two spots to eighth after drawing with Michael Nolan. Reece Murphy made a notable jump of three positions to 13th after a 4-2 win over Harland Newbegin and a 3-3 draw with Stew May. Jordan Smith improved his standing by two positions to 18th after drawing with Anthony Mitchell and defeating Ben Jensen 4-0.
In Monday Division 2, Bailey Hughes retained the top spot with 20 points after a 3-3 draw with Charlie Hewson and a 4-2 win over Jason Fraser. Lewis Woodley remained in second place with 19 points, following a 4-0 win against Kallum Ball and a 3-3 draw with Jenni Cupit. Charlie Hewson moved up to third place with 17 points, thanks to his draw with Bailey Hughes and another 3-3 draw with Dave East. Riley Short climbed two positions to fifth after a 3-3 draw with Dave East and a 4-2 victory over Finley Snowden, accumulating 14 points. Finley Snowden maintained his sixth position with a total of 13 points, despite a mixed day with a 4-0 win over George Dean and a 2-4 loss to Jason Fraser. Dobby S made a significant leap of four positions to 10th after a 4-1 win over Oscar Hewson and a 4-2 victory against Jenni Cupit, bringing his points to 10. Kallum Ball also rose four places to 13th, following a 4-0 win against Lewis Woodley and a 4-2 victory over Oscar Hewson, increasing his points to 9. Ernie Smith remained at the bottom of the standings, unable to add to his points tally after losses to George Dean and Kallum Ball.

In Friday Division 2, Bailey Hughes maintained his top spot with a commanding 4-1 victory over Oliver Allison and a 4-0 win against Ernie Smith, bringing his points total to 22. Danny Over also stayed in second place, securing a 4-0 win over Dane Collins and Shannon Butler, matching Hughes with 20 points. Josh Gale mirrored this success, defeating Elliott Genney and Nathan Cawkwell both by 4-1 scores, keeping him firmly in third place. Lewis Woodley, another top contender, won both his matches 4-0 against Ernie Smith and Tom Pickard, ensuring he stays level with Gale at 20 points. Tim Day climbed to fifth place after winning 4-0 against Lewis Holland and Shannon Butler, while Nathan Cawkwell slipped to sixth despite a 4-0 win over Sam Crag. George Dean and Elliott Genney both moved up the rankings, with Dean drawing twice and Genney securing a win over Dane Collins. Notably, Matteo Dean dropped significantly, moving from seventh to twelfth without playing, reflecting the competitive nature of the division.
Friday Division 1 saw Alex Gale ascend to the top of the standings following two victories, a 4-2 win against Robbie Sabin and a 4-1 triumph over John Neller, accumulating 20 points. Lewis Drabarek, despite not playing, was pushed to second place. Andrew Hammond had an impressive day, winning all three of his matches 4-0 against Seth Vickers, Robbie Sabin, and Harland Newbegin, propelling him from sixth to third place. Stuart Pritchard maintained his fourth position after a 4-0 win over Lenny Svendsen and a 4-1 victory against John Neller. Graham Field dropped to fifth following a draw with Seth Vickers and a 4-0 win over Daz Mawer. Hayden Newbegin moved up to sixth with a 4-1 win over Harland Newbegin and a 4-2 victory against Mathew Scrivener. Alex Smith made significant progress, climbing from fifteenth to ninth after a 4-2 win against Mathew Scrivener and a 3-3 draw with John Neller. The results illustrate the dynamic nature of the division, with several players making significant gains in the standings.
